BENTON COUNTY AUDITOR’S OFFICE
The Benton County Auditor’s Office will be accepting applications for part-time election technician/clerk through Friday, February 14, 2020, or until the position is filled. The position will be responsible for testing, setting up, troubleshooting, and removing computerized election equipment located throughout Benton County, on an as-needed basis, as well as election day support, as well as other duties, as assigned. The position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Position requires extreme attention to detail and excellent computer skills. Knowledge of MS Office applications, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to climb, lift, maneuver large pieces of equipment, and move/lift up to 50 pounds are also required. The position will require working very early morning hours, late evenings and weekends, in addition to various times during normal business hours. The hours are sporadic in nature and will be dependent upon election schedules as well as employee vacations and absences. It is not unusual for workdays to exceed 8 hours and at times consist of 16 hours or more.
