We are starting to plan for our 3rd Annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner!  Save The Date for 4 November 2017 from 11am-1pm at the Blairstown Legion Hall.

We have Vietnam Veterans Books commemorating the 50th Anniversary.  These complimentary books are for any Veteran who resides in Benton County that was boots on ground in Vietnam.  Please bring your DD214 showing this to the office to receive your book and Thank You for your service.

The Benton County Veterans Affairs Office hours are 8am-4:30pm.  Walk-Ins are always welcome, although it is encouraged to make an appointment to ensure that I am in the office.

  • Compensation - Monthly benefit for injury incurred or aggravated by service (No time limit).
  • Pension - Income based financial assistance programs for veterans.
  • Applying to the Iowa Veterans Home and nursing home care.
  • Military Records - obtaining and upgrading.
  • Burial Benefits and Grave Markers.
  • Educational Benefits.
  • Home Loan Benefits.
  • Maintain Grave Registrations for all persons who served in the military of the United States whose mortal remains rest in Benton County, Iowa
  • Emergency Assistance.
